CIBA SCRIP PROGRAM

Program Description

Scrip is a program that helps raise funds for local schools in our community.  It is one of the most successful way of providing for supplies and programs necessary to the students.

The scrip program works by allowing schools to purchase gift cards from participating CIBA businesses at a reduced rate. Corvallis schools then profit by selling the cards at face value to the community.

Corvallis schools receive 10% of the face value of each gift card sold, consumers receive the full face value, while the CIBA business member donates the 10% difference.

Remember, it costs you nothing extra!

How Does It Work?

CIBA Scrip is a card approximately the same size as a credit card. It is available in denominations of $1, $5, and $10, and each will be a different bright and easily seen color.

The CIBA Scrip cards are sold by to 509J and private school scrip programs at 90% of face value. School parent volunteers then resell the cards to their school’s supporters at full face value, and the schools keep the 10% difference.

Once purchased by school supporters, the Scrip is like money. If it is lost or stolen before being used, CIBA cannot replace it or reimburse purchasers.

When people with CIBA Scrip patronize a participating business, they simply “pay” part or all of their bill with the Scrip, which is honored at face value. Some business participants do not return change if you do not use the entire amount of the scrip value, but credit you for further purchases at their business.

Used Scrip that is in good condition will be re-circulated.

If you have any further questions about the CIBA Scrip program, contact Colleen Druyd at the CIBA Business Office at 752-0047 or info@corvallisiba.org.
