£ WELCOME to new CIBA members: DR. LON J. JENSEN, DENTIST; GOLDEN CRANE; KALEIDOSCOPE STUDIOS; and LIVE WELL STUDIO: YOGA PILATES DANCE. We are excited that you have joined the CIBA family of independent local businesses.

£ KGAL/KSHO Radio is once again offering DISCOUNT RADIO ADVERTISING PACKAGES for CIBA members. These “Shop Local” Radio Packages consist of 40 15 second ads per month inside a 60 second commercial donut promoting CIBA and shopping locally. You would be featured along with 2 other non-competing CIBA businesses. The package includes promos to promote special events during the year (such as additional Buy Local First events!) and webpage mentions. Cost per month to reach an extensive listening audience in the mid-Valley is only $92. £ The 1st Annual “BUY LOCAL FIRST” DAY- jointly sponsored by CIBA and the Corvallis Sustainability Coalition was a great success! Thanks to everyone who had specials, provided goodies, let customers throw peanuts on the floor, had staff promoting the event at other participating locations, and generally doing your typical great job of customer service! We also want to thank everyone who has contributed a gift to one of the prize baskets for the top 3 winners of the BUY LOCAL FIRST HERO CONTEST, running December 3-18. These two events are the kick-off to an ongoing Buy Local First campaign in our community. The BLF Steering Committee would love to have your ideas on how to improve on the BLF Day, and what other types of activities or events you would like to see.
