Happy Holidays to All!!
January Membership Meeting
The next CIBA membership meeting will be Wednesday, January 18th, from 5:30 to 7 p.m. The date has been changed from the 4th Wednesday to the 3rd, so to not conflict with Celebrate Corvallis. There will be a short program on the Business Enterprise Center. The location has yet to be determined.
2006 CIBA Directory
The 2006 CIBA Directory is finished and has been distributed to CIBA business members. If your business didn’t receive them, or you would like additional copies, they are available at the Book Bin, or at A & S Accounting. Please recycle any left over 2005 Directories.
Holiday Ads
A very big thanks to Cathy Holdorf, owner of Sibling Revelry, for her work on the CIBA Holiday Ad Campaign. The CIBA Holiday Ad ran 3 times in the Gazette Times and featured the beneficiaries of CIBA businesses charitable giving for this past year. It really gave an indication of how much CIBA members have contributed this year to our community.
November Membership Meeting
Thanks to Big River for making their room available, at no charge, for our holiday get together. Also thanks to Richey’s Market for assembling a wonderful variety of goodies, and for giving us a great discount on them. Many of our newest members were able to attend and introduce themselves. A great time was had by all!
New CIBA Members
Welcome to our newest members; Alpine Crane, Your Green Home, Pipe Makers Union, Inavale Animal Care Facility, Coloma Communications, Bear Tooth Creative, NowTowns, The Tea and Herb Shop, Louise Marquering (for Corvallis Matters), Becky Ice, and Pete Bober.
EVP Survey
CIBA is part of a consortium called the Economic Vitality Partnership (EVP). The EVP is embarking on a community-wide strategic plan focusing on planning for the economic future of Benton County. Making the plan consistent with the values embraced by the community is an important part of this process. The deadline for completing the EVP Survey is December 31. If you haven’t done so, please take fifteen minutes of your time to provide powerful input in this process. It’s important to have representation from our section of the Corvallis economy. Go to http://www.InsightsNow.com/evp_survey.htm to find the interactive survey.
Celebrate Corvallis
‘Celebrate Corvallis’ is coming up on Wednesday, January 25th, at the CH2MHill Alumni Center. CIBA has put in two nominations; Bob Baird, owner of the Book Bin and current CIBA President, for “Citizen of the Year”, and the new American Dream Pizza Restaurant, for “Business of the Year”. There are a limited number of seats available at the tables reserved by CIBA, and can be reserved, until gone, by sending $37.50 to Ilene at A & S Accounting.
