The CIBA Board invites all members and guests to join us at Block 15 on Wednesday, November 19, starting at 5:30 p.m. for an evening of networking, socializing and relaxation before the rush of the holidays! Refreshments will be provided. Don’t forget to bring a stack of your business cards to distribute. Returning this year will be the holiday raffle. Members have enjoyed winning door prizes contributed by CIBA locally owned businesses. £ At its October 14 meeting, the CIBA Board heard a presentation from Ken Gibb and Sarah Johnson regarding the proposed Corvallis URBAN RENEWAL DISTRICT plan. We know many of our members have questions about the District. Stay tuned for an opportunity to learn more at a CIBA-sponsored forum after the first of the year.
£ The CIBA Board also heard a report from the Corvallis Sustainability Coalition. The Coalition‘s ECONOMIC VITALITY Work Group has identified three goals to reach their vision of a Corvallis that is “home to a vibrant, diverse and sustainable economy anchored by a broad spectrum of local, environmentally-friendly businesses.” The goals are Buy Local, Invest Local and Produce Local.
