Come prepared with your questions.
£ It’s almost time for the 2009 BUY LOCAL FIRST BREAKFASTS! This popular event is again co-sponsored by CIBA, First Alternative and the Corvallis Odd Fellows. The Saturday morning breakfasts this year will be May 2nd, June 6th and July 4th (yep, let’s celebrate Independence Day by celebrating our Independent Businesses!). This is the primary way we focus the Corvallis community on Buying Local and we need your volunteer help to host these breakfasts. If you can offer some time to help with this important event, contact Colleen (752-0047; info@corvallisiba.org">info@corvallisiba.org). We need food preppers, cooks, dishwashers, set up and clean up people, servers, and table bussers – we’ll find a spot for you! We are also looking for local independent businesses who would like to do a table display at one of the breakfasts.
£ The 4th Annual Prosperity That Fits Town Hall Meeting, INVESTING IN A SUSTAINABLE ECONOMY, will be held Thursday, May 7 at 6 pm at the OSU Alumni Center. The event is free and refreshments will be served. The Keynote Address will be given by Dr. Robert Young, a noted expert on sustainable cities. Register online at www.prosperitythatfits.org.
