Elaine Blatt from Onward Oregon – a 5-year-old, all volunteer project, with a mission to champion the public interest – will discuss the Oregon Informed Growth Act, which they hope to introduce during the 2010 legislative session. If passed, this act would require an economic impact study if a store over 75,000 sq ft wanted to move into a community (a similar act has passed in Maine).
